“Transracial” ??

Question

So there’s something called transgender, right?

Whether you transition from female to male, male to female, uhhh identify as nonbinary, stuff like that uh then you are transgender or at least under the trans umbrella.

OKAY SO WHAT THE FLAPJACK IS TRANSRACIAL?!

So some people decide to be “transracial” which means they transition to another race. As in white to black. Black to asian. Asian to hispanic. THE LIST GOES ONANDONANDONANDON

So they get plastic surgery to look like this race

I am so confused right now what the actual heck

Okay for those of you thinking “Well its not different from trans people”

YES THERE IS A DIFFERENCE.

You see, genetically, you are whatever race you were born into. So maybe you are Mexican and British, or like just straight up Irish or you know any other race really

Is that a race? I think so

And people also argue that genetically you are born as female or male and you stay that way.

MANY TRANS PEOPLE THOUGH QUITE LITERALLY END UP WITH THE CHARACTERISTICS OF THE GENDER THEY WERE NOT BORN AS.

I mean people who went from FTM or MTF

WHEREAS UNLESS YOU TINKER WITH YOUR DNA IN SOME WAY TO TURN YOU ANOTHER RACE, I DONT THINK YOU CAN BE “TRANSRACIAL”

I don’t really know. It feels really weird. Do you think it’s a valid thing? I personally think that it’s wrong but at the same time it isn’t???? I don’t even know

I think it is if you have that dna frok your ancestors so you can identifiy as both races

Ok that made me MAD like ok look at this:

transracial person: well I want to be special and diff and like I need to stand out but I do not want to change my gender so let's be difficult and change my race

person form like 1968: kid be proud of your skin not all of us had it so easy we did not get to change 

transracial person: idc old and mad I need to be special and spend a lot of money on something stupid and dangerous that I can probably never undo 

so I hate it cuz people worked SO HARD so we could all be equal and then just pay to basically undo it btw I do support transgender people 

but  yeah this made me mad

Well actually, when doing the math (and correct me if these statistics are wrong):

About 1.6 million people in the U.S. identify as transgender.

1/2000 people are born with characteristics of the opposite gender, so 0.05%.

Doing the math, about only 800 transgender people would actually have characteristics of the opposite gender.

Well, actually, I didn't do it wrong, it is 800. But I did discover that by using the total population of the U.S., you get 166000 people. Which coincidencely is almost precisely the amount of people who identify as transgender, I apologize for the confusion.

There are people who litearly think I'm that just because I am Venezuelan and love Nordic culture. Yes, I am Venezuelan and proud, but I love Nordic countries as well. Do I want to change my genes so I become Nordic? NEVER.

Transracial seems really weird to me. Like come on, why would you change your race?

I guess this is what people who don’t support transgender people think, except it’s gender and not race.
