Okay, I’ve held this in for a while, but I’m ready to say it.
I do not mean to offend anyone, I’m simply here to make a peaceful request along with a firm yet simple statement.
Not all Christians are like “BELIEVE IN GOD OR YOU’RE GONNA BURN IN HELL FOREVER!”
I’ve seen too many threads here where Christians (possibly “Christians”, notice the quotation marks) have just harassed people.
They set such a bad example for us.
For example, there was a thread where these random kids were trying to force MCnerd into being Christian.
Not all Christians are like that.
If they’re mature enough, they’ll realize God’s word shouldn’t be forced down your throat, and it should be chewed and processed first.
You suggest the word of God and explain the word of God.
You don’t just tell someone to believe, throw a Bible at them, and run away.
It’s a process that takes time.
It took George Foreman (a boxer turned Preacher turned boxer again but still preacher) 20 years to become a Christian.
But, there’s that grand moment where the process is finished.
George Foreman collapsed in his locker room after a fight with Jimmy Young, having a near-death experience.
He said he was in a place of despair and emptiness.
He finally woke up, realizing he had ignored God for alot of his life.
Foreman became a Christian, and he still is.
Don’t view every Christian as a jerk.
Mature Christians won’t make stupid debates and arguments about whether God is real or not.
Example of a bad argument: “God is real because the Bible says he is and you’re stupid for not believing in Him”
They will make a statement where they calmly state the Bible’s view, trying to resolve the issue.
(The example is too long, sorry)
Anyways, what I’m saying is to know that some Christians are different.
Oh shoot my iPad’s at 2 percent
