Can you please reduce the amount of points you get for upvoting?

Upvote spammers get so much points not even by hard work

It’s just upvote spamming

In fact, I don’t really think you should get any points for upvoting

The upvote is there so you can show you liked the post, right?

Not so you can just click it so you get points.

It just seems like a bum-rush way to get higher up on the leaderboard.

We already have limits on the maximum number of upvotes you can give out per hour, but have reduced it further because of all the point inflation. Please only upvote content you really care about so it has real meaning to the user getting them. It also helps validate answers/comments that may have more value to a question.

We are also trying to reduce spam, even on posts that are trying to get the most answers or comments. Answers or comments that don't have enough value will be deleted.

I have upvote spammed a lot, but I've tried to balance it with lots of high quality answers, and cool posts/ challenges for the community like let's try to get the most answers.

I feel like if you balance it with other cool stuff, you're okay... 

I also don't think you should take away points that have already been earned by people but I'm biased ofc

I’m against spamming points, not answers.

With points, you’re beating a major achievement.

You’re beating hard work with what is supposed to be hard work.

Spam upvoting is not hard work.

With answers, you’re just beating a group of people who answered some random post.

You’re beating what can EITHER be considered hard work OR the result of years of existence.

Spam answering is a little annoying, I’ll admit, but it’s more justified than spam upvoting was, is, or ever will be.

There’s different types of spamming, just like there’s different types of political parties.

I disagree bc sometimes the person upvoting is doing it bc another user asked.  

Let's say a new registered user joined and they wanted fast points and they had posted a lot if questions. I agreed to up vote all  their questions to help them get points bc it also benefits me as well.

 But, I think there should be a limit to the amount if questions we can up vote a day. Not answers bc dong that we actually have to do more work to up vote from a user page.

Upvote spammers are very annoying.

I need everyone who does it to stop, because it is highly annoying and I don't appreciate it (unless you warn someone first, like when you say that you're going to upvote a person's every post).

As much as I appreciate the points from that, it still is just as bad. All your going to get from that is a lot of "___, I'm upvoting your posts" and then nothing will change :/

There should just be a limit for upvotes per day to prevent this. I use a forum with a like limit that way this doesn’t happen.
