Dear Mr. Mårtensson,
I am a huge Minecraft fan. My favorite thing about Minecraft is building with redstone. My favorite mobs are iron golems, ocelots and cats; this is because iron golems kill endermen and ocelots and cats scare creepers. My favorite minigame is Build Battle. Also, I have some ideas that would make Minecraft even better than it already is.
I think fireflies would be a great addition to Minecraft. I know fireflies are poisonous to frogs in real life; but, Minecraft is a video game. This means frogs could be programmed to not eat fireflies, frogs could be immune to the poison status effect or fireflies could be programmed to not be poisonous to frogs. I think it’s a little paranoid that the frogs will just start eating fireflies as soon as fireflies are added. Fireflies would make Minecraft better than it already is; this is because fireflies would look cool. Lastly, you said you would add them as part of the Wild Update at Minecraft Live last year. I know they won’t be added as the main part of the Wild Update? But, could you please add them in a future update. This leads me to another thing I want to be added into Minecraft; copper buttons.
I recognize the copper golem will never be included in unmodded Minecraft because the allay won the 2021 Minecraft Live mob vote. But, may you please at least include copper buttons in Minecraft at some point? I want this because I know lots of players like building unnecessarily complex redstone contraptions. I also think it would be intriguing if a button changed its pulse length over time and at some point stopped working.
In addition to these requests I have many questions about Minecraft. The questions are: Why is Alex named Alex? Why was sulfur changed to gunpowder in update 1.3? Why was Minecraft originally called Cave Game? Where do endermen take the blocks they steal to? Why is there fall damage? Why was Minecraft Earth discontinued and do you know if it will ever come back? Are players technically entities? Why does the Minecraft convention name keep changing?
