The Glass
Rocks fall on the glass.
Down, down, they fall, as the glass screeches for help.
But the rocks don't stop.
They keep falling, down and down, until the glass shatters.
And though the lizard tries to help,
Though mud may fill cracks,
It doesn't mean the cracks are gone.
And so the lizard joins the rocks.
And the glass lays, partially fixed.
And it lays.
And no one comes to check on it, or help it,
So the glass just lays.
And slowly disappears.
