#1 is the worst, hands down. I’m pretty sure they use it because honey is sweet, but I absolutely hate the food honey. It tastes like medicine to me.
#2 is okay. I don’t like “babe” (old people use that, and I have proof), but I use “baby” sometimes. But my usage of “baby” is slightly complicated, and if y’all want an elaboration, I’ll give you one.
#3 is something they use in the 1940’s. It’s great for old movies and stuff like that, but I see it as more of what parents call their kids instead of a lover pet name.
#4 is cringe.
#5, well, I call my crush that in my head sometimes. Of course, I’ve never called him “cutie” out loud because then a hundred trillion zamillion people would stare at me.
Ultimately, the best pet name is what they go by.
