Another name of The Quran is Al-Furqan.
Al-Furqan means "The differentiator", or "The Criterion".
Arabic: فرقان Furqān, also spelled Furqaan.
Since the Quran distinguishes between truth and falsehood and between right and wrong, it is called Al-Furqan. The name Al-Furqan refers to the Quran itself as the divisive factor between good and evil. What the Quran says is true is the truth. And what the Quran calls a lie is a lie. What the Quran calls justice is in fact justice. And what the Quran calls unjust is in fact unjust.
That is why another name of the Quran is Al-Furqan (The Differentiator).
This name is mentioned in various verses of the Quran.
