So I've never asked a question on this site before, but why can't you just simply make it so that 2D Printers have more depth and are a lot bigger *as in it having a lot more width and length of course* so that you can print stuff in 3D? And why not have the cilender shaped things that shape your print-out be made out of metal *depending on what you are printing out/ what its made out of* and have it be on the top and bottom of the, now bigger 2D Printer? *which what I'm talking about is basically like a 3D Printer, except for with all of the benefits of a 2D Printer, like for example being able to print stuff out quicker* Welp Thanks for reading this and bye bye.

A 2D printer requires ink to print in 2D and ink cannot make 3D models.

Well then, why not change the material required to go into the 2D Printer and make tiny adjustments. Btw I was talking about the paper instead of the ink.
