Of course! The type of plastic that is harmful is well almost all plastics. It also depends on the animal. If the animal can digest things really well then it might be able to digest the plastic but that's REALLY rare, almost never happens. There are plastics that melt on its own into water but that type of plastic is still being worked on. Apart from that, all waste and plastic is harmful to animals... Not just when eaten!
