I just created a new version of the blue search button.

• I didn't make any big changes, but I picked a less pixelated search icon and now the button color matches the search box a little more.
• If you decide to use the new icon, your search box should look like this:

• To get the rounded sides effect like you see in the image, you will need to make the button holder's border radius 5px for the top and bottom right.
• You should also consider changing the search box border size to 1.5px for a more modern look. Then the search box will look like this:

(I can also make an SVG if you wish. You might also need to scale the images down to 58 x 35 pixels for it to fit properly in the search box.)

Also If you'd be interested in a modernized version of snowflat with new icons and bolder colors, let me know... It's been 9 years since that theme was updated and I'm working on creating a new version with slight improvements to make it more modern, like I did with your search box.

I can email you the files if you'd like to use it to replace snowflat. I can also modify the theme if you have any ideas about changing something. The theme also comes with improvements to the FAQ plugin too.

These are great suggestions! Updating Polaris will be done soon and we can include their improved Updates and FAQ.  

We want to keep Snowflat as the default for now, but will look at incorporating some of your improvements. You can use support "at" kidzsearch.com to send us files.

Sounds good. You can certainly just update the colors yourself if you ever want to use them. The icons are called "Material icons" by Google.

Speaking of icons, I created a new version of my KT logo since it's been a few years. 

The chat icon in the middle of the logo could use an update, so I found a nice, modern icon that pairs well with the font. About the font, I made a few adjustments make the logo less "tall" and more typical looking.
