From across the trees
The chickadees chirped for me.
From under the logs
Crept a frog.
From the river slinked the otter
With his legs churning the sand .
From the undergrowth came the old fox
Looking for prey as far as the eye can see.
This to to me is a forest playground-
With prey and predator running wild and free.
