Mech is a legend. He literally made some of the big-name wolf conservation organizations. He's in every predator conservation book ever; he's the most well-known wolf biologist ever. Even more so than John Weaver or John A. Shivik (although as a note: Shivik wrote the best nonfiction book I have ever read). You probably couldn't find him on Wikipedia because he's known by a couple names; David L. Mech, Dave L. Mech, L. David Mech, L. Dave Mech, David Mech, Dave Mech. Everyone calls him David L. Mech even though that's not really his name. 'Pry 'cause who has the name "Lucyan?" Anyway his Wiki page is under L. David Mech.
