Today is officially the 2nd anniversary of my picking up a pen and deciding to learn to draw! It has been 14/15 months since that day, which is a little hard to believe. I have improved so much since then, and in celebration I'll be posting the redraw I made today on Sunday.
I thank you all for enduring my spews of terrible cringe-worthy first attempts and cheering me on as I refined my style from wonky proportions to more believable-looking characters. My first months of drawing were actually pretty okay, but once I let go of learning from others' artwork and attempted to learn by myself, my style went pretty much through the roof in terms of, "how the heck does that happen? I mean, her head is so much smaller than the rest of her body! And don't get me started on the neck, it looks like a pencil!" Well, I am glad none of you slandered my artwork. I prefer to learn on my own, cuz otherwise I won't know how to correct it.
Since the day I started, I have hit many minestones in the last few months. I have made drawings for KidzSearch, ones that they put on their webpages; I have displayed in my local library and art gallery; I am making the illos for the KS magazine, run by KItten.
Thank you all for your support!!!!!!!
