Steve nodded and slowly walked away. When the council and the rest of his family were inside, he ran for the switch but it was locked.
Steve’s mother came out and said “Steve! You have to sign your spot on the family’s resignation papers!”
Steve said “You think I?! The first Stonecutter to make it to any halls of fame and ended up making it into both will resign?! Never gonna happen! Just unlock this.”
Steve’s mother grabbed Steve’s locket and threw it into the lava nearby.
Steve wailed “No! That locket was my most prized possession! How could you!?”
“Let me be honest with you, I hate you. Have hated you since the day you were born. I in fact TOLD those creepers to take me and your father away.”
Steve wailed “No!”
His mother said “Yes, if you want your locket, I suggest you drain that lava pool I threw it into.”
Steve said “Yeah!” and started to drain the lava pit.
At the very bottom was his locket. He dove in and grabbed it and then his mother sealed him in. Steve tunneled his way out and filled the tunnel back in.
He yelled “Okay, I’ll resign. After I blow you into the void!”
Alex yelled “Steve! Stop it! Just resign your legacy! It’s lasted over five generations!”
Steve nodded and said “Okay” and headed in to sign the papers.
Steve signed the papers and then said “Goodbye life!”
The council said “Steve! You are such a rube! Read the paper more closely.”
Steve read the paper and saw it said that he had to hand down his personal legacy to Zuri.
Steve breathed heavily and said “Now Zuri, my legacy comes with a tremendous amount of responsibility and power.”
Zuri says “Yeah! I want power!”
Steve said “Aww you’re just like me when I began. Except you’re a little older.””
Zuri said “So, how old did you get your….”

“About five. The minimum to be a legend on their own”
The council said “Steve, since you signed the papers, your kid Zuri is now the owner of your house. You can pay her for it but it won’t be cheap”
Steve said “So, I won’t have to live without a house just yet?”
“Yes. BUT, you lost most of your power that you earned because you never completed school.”
“Good, my legacy isn’t over yet?”
“Correct”
“Good.” and breathed a sigh of relief.
“But, Zuri has to do every big PvP: game for the rest of her life”
“But-” he cut himself off “Whatever.”
Zuri said “So, get to be the owner of Steve’s house?! This is going to be sweet! I can boss him around?”
“Yes”
Steve said “That’s quite enough from you Zuri. You do not get to boss me around!”
The council said “What you signed says differently!”
Steve looked closely at what he signed to see the council was correct and he had to pay 50,000 diamonds to make him in charge again.”
Steve said “Is Alex still in charge of her?”
“Nope! Zuri beats you. She can kick you out of the house for all we care.”
Steve said “Let’s go Zuri.”
“Nope! I tell you when it’s time to go!”
The council said “Zuri, he still gets to tell you when to go places. You still have to go to school”
Zuri nodded and left with Steve.
Steve came out all slouched down. All his kids said “Steve? What is it?”
“Zuri is now my bosse. I signed something that approved that. I’m still in charge of the rest of you”
The council said “Steve, sadly, you aren’t in charge of anyone anymore each one you want to regain being in charge of, you have to pay 50,000 diamond for both you and Alex”
“So, one person will cost 100,000 diamonds total to regain charge over?”
“Yup.”
Alex said “Steve, learn to live with it, we’ll be stuck in this arrangement forever. We’ll have no power over anything our kids do anymore. I mean unless you want to work at the PvP supplies store or something.”
Steve said “Sadly, I don’t have much life left to live. The PvP supplies store pays terribly and the only decent paying job I ever had was legend and now that I handed my title down, I have lost my ability to earn diamonds in PvP battles”
Alex said “Steve, I’ve been saving my diamonds for a while now. I was saving for a very rainy day where all the mobs spawn”
Steve says “I know what you’re saying. For when I die right?”
“Yeah. I’ve accumulated around 775,000 diamonds over the years”
“That’ll be enough!”
“Are you sure you want me to use most of it? I mean if either of us dies, it’ll pretty much be over”
“Yeah”
“Okay.” and sighed heavily.
Alex said “Zuri, sweetie? Would you mind letting me and Steve be in charge of you again for free?”
“ Maybe. If Steve wins a battle against me”
Steve sighed and said “My old arena tomorrow!”
Everyone nodded and said “We’ll be there”
