All the kids looked excitedly at Steve and said “Out for breakfast?”
Steve sighed heavily and said “I guess it’s our only option.”
Alex said “I could make something!”
“With what?! What do you have in your inventory?”
“Nothing.”
“I guess we have to go out. Unless….”
Alex said “No! We are NOT having breakfast with any of your villagers!”
Steve says “You never let me be me anymore! Geez!”
Zuri said “Umm Steve now may not be the best time to tell you this. BUT, your dog pooped on my bed.”
Steve said “Did you try and clean it?”
“No! I have no clue where the supplies are!”
“Good! Welp, I guess I have a long day ahead of me.”
Makena said “Steve, last night I puked up a bit of blood.”
Steve said “YOU HAVE A MOTHER TOO YOU KNOW!” and stormed up to his room.
Alex said “Let me go talk to him”
All the kids said “Nah. We’re the ones responsible
for making him angry. We should talk to him.”
“You may make things worse!”
“So may you!”
Alex said “Zuri, you’re in charge while I talked to my special little Stevie-munchkin and headed up to Steve’s room.
When she got up there, She found Steve squeezing the stress ball she had gotten him after his last major freakout.
She then backed out of the room. But, not before Steve saw her.
Steve then instantly calmed down and said “Alex, I’m ready to talk to the kids.”
“Okay, come downstairs and talk to them.”
Steve opened his door and came downstairs.
Once down, he said “Kids, you probably all know I got upset. But, you don’t know the reason. Just don’t rub it in.” and took a deep breath “66 years ago” he took another deep breath “I had a very bad experience” and started to cry.
Ari said “What was it?”
Alex then said “Steve, would you mind me telling them?”
“Nope”
“His parents were taken by creepers 65 years ago”
Then they all went out for breakfast.
Once they left, Alex said “Steve, I will stay home and watch the kids while you go shopping.”
“Okay”
Three years later, Steve went shopping for school supplies for the kids. Sadly. The kids wanted the more expensive supplies. Steve reluctantly chose the ones the kids wanted.
A week after shopping for the kids school supplies, it was their first day of school
Alex started to cry and said “I promised myself I wouldn’t cry. Pretty soon, they’ll be leaving and we’ll rarely see them.”
Steve said “I know. Now, remember your promise you made to Noor last year?”
“What promise?”
“The one where you said you would comfort him about leaving.”
“Oh yeah. Noor! Come here!!”
Noor came to Alex.
Alex said “Don’t worry. Hopefully some of your siblings will be in your class with you. So, you’ll know some people there.”
That made Noor start to cry and he wailed “Can I please stay home? I am afraid there will be a creeper or an enderman attack.”
Steve said “No!”
That made Noor cry harder.
Alex said “I’ll come with you for a few days if that’ll help”
Noor said “Yeah that may help”
All the other kids said “Unfair! If he gets that, I want that!”
Steve said “Alex! DO NOT come with him!”
“I have to.”
Noor said “It’s you or her!”
Alex said “What have I told you?”
“Not to say that kind of thing.”
Alex then said “Steve, goodbye.” and left with Noor.
Steve said “Kids! Come on!”
All the kids left.
About ten minutes later, Alex came back and said “Noor is okay now”
Five hours later, all the kids came home.
Alex said “Hi, how was your first day?”
All the kids except Noor said “Great! I made 15 friends!”
Noor said “Very bad! I couldn’t find anyone to sit with at lunch or play with at recess.” and started to cry.
Alex said “Your siblings didn’t sit with you or play with you?!”
Noor nodded.
Alex yelled “Steve! I need you. You talk to Noor. I'll talk to the rest.”
Steve sat up from the couch and said “Noor! Over here!”
Alex said “He had a bad day. Okay? Nobody wanted to play with him or sit with him.”
“Got it!”
Noor came over to Steve and said “Steve, did you have problems in school?”
“Yes I did! So, how many people said no to hanging out with you?”
“Twelve at each”
“So, how did you approach them?”
Noor said “I just asked if they would mind sitting with me or playing with me.”
“Oh. I don’t see what’s wrong.”
Alex said “Steve! Are you done?”
“Not quite!”
“So, did your siblings say no?”
“Yes! They were all with their friend groups”
Steve nodded and said “I see. Now, tomorrow, I’ll help you.”
“But, you said no!”
“I know that. Now I know you need some extra help.”
“Thanks”
“Okay! Done!”
Alex then said “Steve helped you?”
“Yes,” responded Noor.
The next day, Steve went to school with Noor.
When he got there, everyone was staring at Noor.
When it was lunchtime, Steve said “Okay, now. I’ll help you.”
When Steve found a group that said “I want another friend”, Steve said “Hi peeps, this is Noor and he’s looking for another friend”
The kids said “Okay Noor, sit with us.”
Steve said “Go on”
Noor said “Please sit with me!”
“No!
“Please?”
“Okay”
Noor and Steve sat down.
All the other kids said “You need your GRANDPA to help you find a seat?!” mockingly.
Steve said “Geez. In my day, kids weren’t this harsh! Let’s find some of your siblings.”
“We can’t move seats.”
“Oh.”
Then they ate their lunch. Just before Steve finished his lunch, lunch ended. Steve quickly ate the rest of his lunch and headed out with Noor.
Steve saw all his kids playing foursquare.
He asked “Hey, would you mind if Noor joined you?”
All the kids looked at Steve and said “No!” and spat at him.
Steve said “Guys! All your birthdays are coming up. If you don’t let him play with you… I will NOT let you have a party!”
All the kids sighed and said “Fine! BUT, this is a one time thing, got it Noor?”
Noor nodded and said “Thanks Steve.” and hugged Steve’s legs.
Steve said “Remember Noor? I HATE public displays of affection”
“Sorry.”
“It’s fine!”
Then recess ended. When they went back in, the teacher said “Alright class, we now have an assistant that is like DOUBLE my age that will help me around the classroom. Say hello to Steven Stonecutter.”
Steve said “Woah there! I am NOT your assistant!”
The teacher said “Too bad. We could’ve paid you 1,000 diamonds and 500 emeralds a month!”
