This is something i do everyday and you can do too.
Basically, everyday, do something nice for someone you do not know (or just aren't that close to). Some examples may be-
- Opening the door for someone.
- Complimenting someone.
- If in public school, during lunch invite someone who is alone to sit with you.
- Smile at people.
The reason I do this is because I saw something once: Once girl went to school one day, she was depressed, and on the verge of suicide that day, though she doesn't let anyone know that. One comment, from one kid, changes her life. If the one kid was nice and did something to let the girl know she isn't invisible, she goes on another day. If the one kid was mean, and bullied her, she kills herself. Now, you are the kid, the girl is someone you don't know anything about. You don't know she is depressed or anything, though there is the possibility. What would you say?
Now, not everyone is depressed, but you never know, and it is nice anyway. So why not make a positive change, even if it is small?
