A mean boy makes me cry

Question

Hello, I am still kind of confused about the difference between bullying and harassing, but this guy in my class keeps on making me cry, every time I complain about him or even think of him, I just start to cry. The guy in my class, I'll just call him Mean Boy, is always so rude to me, he's a hypocrite, like, he always yells at me to sit down when I'm trying to get a book, but he always standing up himself, just to go talk to his friends. Whenever I tell him to be quiet because he's annoying, he just says "No, you shut-up." to me. Mean Boy also keeps throwing erasers at me, and it hurts, I know that people don't think it would hurt, but trust me, it hurts. Also, just a few days ago, Mean Boy said "f-you" to me, but he really said the word instead of just 'f' and that made me cry because I really dislike it when people swear/cuss/curse. He keeps mocking me also. I just don't get why he's like that... 

Please help me stop him from bullying/harassing me!

Oh Wraya, I'm so sorry this keeps happening to you! How old is this kid (I don't need exact numbers, like, 10 and under or more teen/tween)? You can always tell an adult, or even go see the principal or counsler directly- I saw in acomment you were scared to see her, so bring a friend with you for support! Or do as Cuberdude says. I am very positive you would not be in as much trouble as you think- the school might suspend you for a couple days, but I am sure your mom would justify your actions and be there to back you up- plus, I don't think he would mess with you anymore! And then there's the classic- just ignore him (or roast him in front of the class >:D). I hope everything works out for you!

Thank you for the advice, CheerlessCheerleader! Sadly, for the part about roasting him in front of the class won't ever happen, since I'm really bad at making comebacks and since he's one of those boys who just act like they don't care when you say things to them. He's 11.

I have had the same problem. Just IGNORE him. COMPLAIN to a teacher, principal or trusted adult. Be BRAVE. Don't worry, I AM ALWAYS THERE FOR YOU!

Hahaha, I have thought about doing that before, but I'm afraid that I'll just get in trouble and that he'll hurt me, because he has told his friend before that sometimes he just wants to slap me, he probably didn't think that I would know what he said, but a guy in my class told me, and the guy who told me is trustworthy, so I believe him. I have almost kicked Mean Boy in the crotch before, but I held myself back(I've kicked about 3 boys in the crotch before and it was hard to not kick him), and now I kind of regret not kicking him...

Well #1, if you hit him hard enough he wont hit back, #2, you will get in trouble, but he probably wont mess with you again.

(Pls dont kick him in the crotch, that hurts a lot more than you think... Never kick a guy in the crotch unless you absolutely have too.)

My mom knows, and she said that if he keeps doing that talk to my teacher about. But since my teacher is a boy(no offense to the guys who are reading this), my mom called him clueless, because even when he saw Mean Boy making fun of me, since we're in the middle front row, my teacher didn't do anything but just look at us. And all the other teachers in my school only really care about if someone got hurt physically, and if someone gets hurt physically, they just get an ice pack from the nurse, so... teachers aren't much help, and my parents know, well, only my mom, I'm afraid that my dad will get mad if he knows, because, you know, dad and daughter relationship. Also, I'm afraid to talk about it to anyone, even to my school counselor, even though she's super nice and even if I can cry freely without any other people watching, but still, I'm self conscious, and I'm just afraid for no reason...
