I was kinda upset off at first, now I’m just amused. Alright, time for an explanation.
It was night, about 8 or 8:30 or something when I left. I don’t remember exactly. But it was winter, so, you know, it gets dark at, like, five here. Anyhow, I went I’d guess I went about a mile or two north, then turned south again, in the direction of my house. The town is several miles south of my home, like you said. I went into the field around the several houses (including mine) in case those who were looking for me were still in the vicinity. Then, I took the road and went south to the town.
I was going to give up after a while, wait for a car to come to take me back. But the only other car that ever came was a police truck, and then I chickened out and went into the bushes by the side of the road until the passed. Still have no idea how they never saw me, they even had their brights on. No more cars came, though. The only thing that kept me going was a billboard for the local town brewery, on which they advertised their beer no coffee. Coffee. Bitter, dark, and hot. I think that was what kept me going. The thought of that nice hot coffee.
Anyways, I never got coffee. Once I got into the town, I went to the gas station, Town Pump. There I bought candy (I wasn’t thinking all to straight, okay?) with my fingers that I could barely move at all. This was at about 12:30 or so, I think. Don’t quote me. I forgot my watch.
The lady at the checkout wanted to know if she should call the police to pick me up or something, or my parents, or basically what the hell was going on with me. I managed to shake her off easier than I expected. Well, while I was looking for coffee, which was not there, I saw this guy she seemed to know, who she said could drive me home if I wanted. I refused. He seemed nice, but otherwise I didn’t pay any attention to him. There he took me into the CASINO, where he worked, commando, not bar, no idea why I would have said bar, because every tiny town here has at least five casinos and this one was attached to the gas station. I ate my candy, he gave me plenty of wonderful black coffee, and I warmed up there until they closed, talking with the two girls playing on the slot machines there. It closed and we all left in the guy’s (his name was Brian) car at I think about 2:30 or 3 or something. Again, I’m just guessing times.
He dropped off the girls, then took me to his place. He told me all about how the livestock on the ranch got lost and things. He was very nervous, it seemed, about whether or not I wanted to go with him, some random guy. I don’t know why, but I just got this feeling that he was a good man, a person to trust. Kinda hard to explain. After that, we were watching a movie, he even turned on the heater in the spare bedroom for me to sleep in, but then we decided that I should go home. ( you know, he made very convincing arguments for why I should go home, and I reluctantly agreed). As we got in the car, I noticed for the first time that I had been sitting next to a small rifle the whole drive and didn’t know it. When I made comment about it, he said I could shoot it if it wanted to, and drove further out on the property and gave it to me to fire. Then we left.
This guy’s place was between the two towns here, and north, probably at least 20 miles from the town which I walked to. When he drove me there, I think it was maybe 5 in the morning, and I walked down the little road to our house that I had abandoned some hours previously. When I got there, you know where my dad and the sheriff were looking for me? In the yard, our yard, and apparently the sheriff was about to call reinforcements (choppers, other cops, the whole deal) to come in and help with the search. Apparently would have been a crazy bill should that ever happen, and understandably.
And the light -night thing? Yeah, perhaps I should make comment on that. See, it was dark, but it was all blizzard-y, so when I got separated from the road by accident, I was way out in a field somewhere. I’m not afraid of the dark, but that was terrifying. It wasn’t black. It was white. A hazy, pale, white. I couldn’t see anything, I just about ran into a telephone pole once. At least with pure black you can make out imaginary shapes in the darkness. But no, this white was downright awful. It just made you feel crazy, like you were going insane. But eventually I got back to where some streetlights were.
And for the rest of that (only one who experiences it can ever feel the scariness), you get the pure darkness when you go about 1/2 - 1 mile from the roads, out into the endless fields. I did not use a flashlight more than once, when I trying to find my water, because I saw how obvious it would be. The lights by the highway provided enough light.
Right now, my mother has made the sad mistake of giving me the iPad password. However, due to my exams (one of which I took yesterday, one of which will be today), I have had a tiny bit of unmonitored freedom.
Who talks like me? I don’t know? You mean with an educated sort or air, unlike everyone else who doesn’t use capitalization or grammar?
As for how I didn't freeze, it was mostly because I stayed moving, but also because of my base layers and everything.
Now, that's everything, honestly and from the start, and if you don't believe me, see if you can get the police to talk to you. You already know what town I'm near.
Oh, and what do you mean about 'I knew nothing about account being deleted?" I never knew that you blocked me, I told you, my dad deleted my email, so I couldn't get back there.
