I think that would be a weird feature. Would everyone who answers a question and gets a comment on their answer be able to select a best comment, and would there be possibly hundreds of best comments on let's try to get the most answers for instance? Or would the best comment only be an option if someone comments directly on the question instead of an answer?

No it's like best answer but some perks prefer comments to answers so it's basically just the comments on the question
