Question

People should stop calling Native Americans "Indians". It's also offensive to call Inuits " Eskimos" because I just learned it translates to something like "stupid people who eat raw fish".

Anyways, the whole " Indian" thing started when this white man (Columbus) thought he landed in India and called the natives "INDIANS" because he was a stupid, STUPID man like all Europeans are.....

Sorry I got mad... It's just Europeans want to take, take, take and use offensive words to describe people and... And take people native to their land OUT of their land...

Cherokees and many others had to go on the Trail of Tears because of the Indian Removal Act. I feel that the situation NEVER EVER should of happened. I feel as though the Europeans shouldn'tve came here, nor any other place like Africa and Asia, because they've made it ten times worse. If natives were still a common thing in America, it would be a lot better.

"Indian Giver"? SERIOUSLY? It's supposedly a bad thing to be an " Indian Giver" because you're giving everything you have for something else... THAT SHOULD BE RECOGNIZED AS A GOOD THING BY NATIVES!

I just think people are really offensive towards any ethnic race, especially Asians, Africans, and Native Americans. Why? Because you are not a white, PURE European.

That's what they thought. The Europeans thought it was okay to take natives as slaves and Africans as slaves because they looked different and they spoke different languages.

They thought they weren't pure because they weren't Christian.

They thought of them as less of a human.

THAT ISN'T RIGHT!

Well, that's not entirely true.

We don't hear really about natives as much as we should.

They were here first, after all.

So there's no really telling whether lots if them do care because we don't hear many of them voice it.

Here is my thoughts.

Remember these are only my thoughts and I really don't want to start a fight because of them. I still hope we can be friends :)

1. I'm actually a Native American because I am native to America.
2. It's not Columbus's fault he thought he was in India.
3. I also feel like the Indian Removal Act should not have happened and I'm sure many others do, too.
4. Many people in the past tried to be friends with the Native Americans. But the majority of them went about the wrong way to do it.
5. Who thought Native Americans were stupid?
6. I don't know about everyone else's life, but one of my golden rules are that "All men are created equal." 
7. I do believe it was wrong to take slaves.
8. I liked to read this and all, but doesn't everybody already know? People are thinking about banning any baseball team with a tribe for a name (Which isn't right because most Native Americans say it's actually an honor for a baseball team to be named after their tribe). 

Again, I made this only because I believe a little differently and I hope we can still be friends :)

My family doesn't do for those reasons exactly. The kids in my class dont do it either its just the teachers who cant take a hint.
