Is a hot dog a sandwich? Please nobody bark at me. (Once as a fish bowl discussion at school the question I am asking was the topic of discussion. Someone barked at the other participants)

I think it is a sandwich because it is between bread

No. It has a bun on one side and a bun on their other side. For it to be a sandwich it would have to have buns on the top and bottom.

Yep. It has 2 buns (actually 1, but they cover 2 of the 4 sides) and it has a food in the middle.
