Hello! I'm Catholic, but for the fun of it I'll try using as little religion as possible as I've been learning Philosophy, using Plato's ideas (or at the very least what I remember, as it's been a while since I took philosphy) but putting in my own stuff.
Here we go:
Someone or something had to have created the universe. The Human body itself seems too perfectly built if you ask me. The idea of Life and Evolution is something we still don't completely understand. If an animal can grow and adapt, what made it so that's the case? Why would a bunch of rocks mash together and randomly create that? And then the want to live?
If you ask me, I think something with a mind must have created the world.
So that begs the question of who is this? What are they like? If I recall correctly about Plato, a God would be complete and never lacking. If it could create everything from nothing, it must be part everything. This can range from Mount Everest to the electronic signals flowing through your brain, reading these words on a screen and deciphering them into emotions, which are chemicals flowing throuh the same brain.
Assuming God adheres to morality too, one would say "Evil" is a lack of "Good". Since God created everything (and thus "Good") from nothing and is in everything (including "Good"), God is Good. Not in a descripting way, but in a literal sense. All Goodness comes from God. You can make multiple opposites and attribute on of them to God. Truth is one of my favourite examples.
We could go into Religious discussions all day, but even as a Catholic I find the Philisophical arguments more interesting. However, if you're interested, I wouldn't mind going to the basics of what I believe as a Christian.
