As I sit in the passenger seat looking out the window, I think of what could be wrong with Isamu. Did something happen I don't know about?? What could be wrong? Lia's voice wakes me out of my trance.
"Jade! What are you waiting for? We're at school already." She says.
I get out of the car slowly, still thinking about Isamu. I get on one of the school's hoverboards and fly on into school. I go through the school day being pretty bored, but at least I get gummy huolobos for lunch! Lia has been her very talkative self today, but Isamu hasn't said a word, strange. After school I call my mom to see if I can ride with Lia home, and she says yes.
I get in Lia's car and it takes off toward the sky. Now I should ask her about Isamu. I turn my head to face Lia. "Hey Lia? I have something to ask you." I say with a worried tone.
"Uh sure. Wassup? Is anything wrong?" Lia asks.
I take a deep breath. "Well I noticed Isamu was acting a little different today. Do you know what's wrong?"
Lia looks at me for a second then back to the sky. "Um, well I think his pet, Xiago, is a little sick but there's nothing to worry about." She says.
Oh. Maybe he's just worried about his pet. But I still have a feeling there's something else going on.
Once I get home I go through my usual evening routine. And then wake up the next day, per usual. I get ready for school and get in Lia's car like normal. I see Isamu in the back. He's staring at me eerily. Lia sees it too.
Lia decides to speak to Isamu. "Hey Isamu, is anything wrong?" She says. Lia's forehead crinkles and shows her worry.
Isamu then stares at Lia. He opens his mouth for a second and then starts to speak. "I'm not r-ready" he says. I look at Lia and can see she is also worried. Then Isamu disappears into thin air.
