Why can't you get a pet? Is it because of your parents? Try feeding a stray cat or dog in the meantime! There's a stray cat in my neighborhood. She waits for me every afternoon. She's the cutest!

Prove to them you're responsible enough for a oet.

I don’t have a pet either, so I can kind of relate.

Also, why can’t you get a pet?

For me, it’s because my parents (ESPECIALLY my mom) are overly concerned about cleanliness, and taking care of a pet is hard work.
