(True story, by the way.)

I wake up to silence. I go to the bathroom. Really, everything’s normal around here. Only thing I know is that at school, we’re gonna be moving seats, we’re gonna tie-dye shirts, and there’s a “fun recess”.

Obviously, everything’s normal around here. I check KidzTalk, then I go to NitroType. Completely normal. At breakfast, I was served toast. Out of the two pieces I was given, I only ate one.

We were running rather late, as it was 8:15 by the time I got done (I started at 8:00). We were due to leave in twenty-five minutes, leaving not very much time. I made my bed, and packed my backpack. Then, I played with my sister.

When me, my mom, and my sister left the house to drop me off at school, it was still completely normal. I simply looked out the window on the way to school. When we were in the drop-off line, my sister decided to annoy me and be loud (I was trying to listen to the radio).

When I got out, one of my classmates got out too. The usual one. We talked, we went in the classroom, and that’s when everything changed for me.

Immediately, I see that my desk wasn’t in the usual position. Nobody was. It took a long time for me to find my desk until I found it. I was sitting across the room from where I previously sit. I was surprised by that.

Also, that was inconvenience #1. ^

The day goes normal until we got back from the library an hour and a half later. Immediately, we go outside and meet up with a second-grade class. We found our reading buddies, and we went on a trail to a lake. My reading buddy kept asking if I had a boyfriend (I don’t), and we also looked at the flowers.

On the way back, the impossible (not really) happened. My reading buddy told me about her boyfriend. Then, she asked my who my crush was.

I almost told her.

About thirty seconds after she asked me, I wanted to tell her. Unfortunately, there was a lot of people around. And it was the last time we got to see each other forever.

Inconveniences #2 and #3. (I might’ve saved myself during the process) ^

Things went normal again. Until first recess hits.

First thing I heard outside was music. And music never plays during recess. This was the “fun recess”, where you could play bean bag toss (nobody did that), go on the field, wave rainbow ribbons around, or use chalk, along with the usual activities. I obviously played four square for a bit, but the other two people playing (so it was three square) left for chalk, so I left too.

Inconvenience #4. ^

I got some white chalk. I don’t see how people can write really well with chalk, because I can’t. And unless there’s a flat surface, I can’t draw very well with chalk. While drawing with chalk, I saw that somebody who I knew came back. She wasn’t here all year, but she came back today.

Also while drawing, my white chalk became stubby, so I had to grab green chalk.

Inconvenience #5. ^

A minute later, I was complimenting a drawing when the lunch bell rang. I had to rush.

Inconvenience #6. ^

Lunch was perfectly normal. Then, after lunch, me and seven other people went to a first-grade class to help with math. The two first-graders I was assigned both finished rather quickly. When I was done, another first-grader comes to me. He had a really hard time with the math concept they were working on, and I guess I didn’t help, because he had to go to the teacher.

Inconvenience #7. ^

Second recess was a normal recess. Normal as in no extra stuff. I went to play four square with three other people (less than usual). After a few minutes, one person left. Then, the other two people left and took the four square ball with them. I tried to get the ball, but I quit.

Inconvenience #8. ^

With nobody to play four square with, I was alone. Alone for the first time ever (since I started in October). I went to pay respects to the four square court when I got hit right below my right shoulder with a football. Usually, it wouldn’t hurt, but it had some hard holder attached to it, so it hurt really bad. And everybody was laughing at me.

Inconvenience #9. ^

Did I mention the fact that my crush was across the room from me in class now?

Inconvenience #10. ^

At 3:25, me and two other people went to the office to gather pink slips and deliver them. The first one I had to deliver was a long ways away from where I usually deliver them.

Inconvenience #11. ^

When I got to the kindergarten area, I delivered some of the pink slips. Then, I once again walked the path of no return to deliver the slips to the fourth grade (Fourth grade classes are in portable buildings, which aren’t connected to the main building.). When I was done, I went to the door I walked out of. Nobody there.

Inconvenience #12. ^

I then checked the door to the kindergarten area. Also nobody.

Inconvenience #13. ^

I realized one thing. I was locked out. Again.

I had to wait a few minutes for a bus driver to arrive. Then, I slowly walked to the front door of my school. As I was walking to the door, I felt like everybody was watching me. That was because everyone was watching me.

Finally, I went to the front door and I got rescued by two bus drivers. I could finally get back to class. But I had to go to the bathroom.

Inconvenience #14. ^

I took a while in the bathroom. I didn’t know how long. 5 minutes? 10 minutes? More? Regardless, I went. When I flushed the toilet, I was relieved. I went back to my class and my teacher said that I missed nothing. Obviously, she was lying, because she said that my class was just having a discussion. Then, I realized that we never tie-dyed shirts in the first place.

Inconvenience #15. ^

As school gets out, I go home. Luckily, there’s no homework today, reason why I’m typing this word-by-word, letter-by-letter. There will probably be more inconveniences today, as I have to feed the neighbor’s cat again.

(This took me 40 minutes)

Welp, looks like I’m outta here with 15 inconveniences to my name.

It wasn’t fun. Not one bit.

At least I had some sorta adventure though. I always like those.
