Historical Hindsight Proposal

Question

I here begin my proposition to begin something here (I'm not sure what category it would belong to: a blog, perhaps?) of Historical Hindsights. Essentially, anything history related here is either incredibly boring, incredibly obvious, or incredibly stupid (or all of the above).

Thus, should this post receive 10 upvotes, I will begin a section on here unlike any other. Stuff you didn't know, and that you in fact didn't know you needed to know. And plenty that'll make you sound like a Yale history professor without the dread of reading boring, nonsensical essays with a bunch of dates and names.
