Partially completed dagger

Question

As of late, I’ve been working on a stacked leather handle for a dagger. Just thought I’d share it as it is right now for those of you who aren’t familiar with leather working and/or have never watched Forged in Fire. After 5 hours, 10 aching fingers, and a couple of bloody hands, this is what I’ve come up with. Opined No. 8 for scale. Ay, it’s a very long and ugly process before the finished product. Also KS, you should add “Leatherworking” or “Leathercraft” or something to the Arts and Crafts section. We leatherworkers don’t have anywhere to post stuff like this.

I honestly kind of forgot I posted this. I've been working on my startup (AHEM, KS) and haven't worked on it, like, a week. I've put about ten hours in so far, another couple hours and I'll probably be done shaping. Then I can sand it, then stain it, finish it, get out the little scratches, etc. Then I have to make the sheath.
