The same thing as 300 x 2 or 300 + 300. But if you want to use multiplication, 3 x 2 = 6 and 0 x 2 = 0. Then it would be 600. Idk how to explain digitally lol, maybe like this

3 0 0

2       X

——

6 0 0

(Example: Green = Yellow and Blue and purple = Red and Blue)

I hope this helps because when I was learning multiplication I got all confused and took me the whole year to understand lol

There are two ways to mentally solve this. First, you could just add 300+300 (600). This works because multiplying something x2 is the same as adding it by itself. (Technically, you could add 300 ten times if you had 300x10, but I wouldn't do that).

The second way is to multiply 2x3 , which is 6. Then you add two 0s to that answer (because 300 has two zeroes), and you get 600.

The answer is 600.

it means 2x300

when you multiply 2x3 it's 6

then add the two remaining 0s after six.

thn it'll be 600.!

so 2x300= 600

I know everyone else said 600, so I don't want to look like I didn't already know that...

But it's 600.

You do 3×2 which gives you 6 and then you join two zeros to the 6 which gives you 600

And if you don't understand that

300

×2

=600

600. You stack the problem and then multiply the 0s by the 2, so you have 00 under the problem. Then, you do 2x3, which gives you 6, which goes before the zeroes. Or, you can just do it like 300x2, cross out any zeroes, do the problem without any zeroes (in our case 600), and then add the zeroes you crossed out at the end of your product (600). (this is a trick my teacher taught me for numbers that end in zero getting multiplied, but when you use it to divide you don't put the zeroes you crossed out from before onto the product).

An easy trick when multiplying by 2 is to just add the number to it self that you are multiplying. For example, if you were to multiply 200 times 2 you would add the number to itself. That would be 200 + 200. The answer would be 400. Try using this trick when you have to multiply by 2 again.

I do that sometimes, but it is good to practise multiplication! :))))

Thank you! You seem really nice!
