Here's the breakdown:
My grandmother is kinda crazy. She's one of the Trumpy, slightly Q-Anon sort of people. She also has tried to be my parent since I was little. She's always trying to see me and stuff. She also tried to get me to spy on my parents and she would tell me some kind of crazy beliefs of hers. My dad hates her and tries to keep her as far away as possible, no matter how hard she would try to see me.
Some time ago, either shortly before or shortly after my birthday, she sent me a birthday card she made (she makes all her card by hand with a Cricket). I'm not allowed to open any mail I get without it first going by my dad. When he found it and opened it, he read it, took apart some of the little pieces (like decorative paper glued to cardstock) to make sure there weren't any 'secret messages' or anything, took his big Sharpie we mark out mail with and colored out what was apparently her email address (me said she wanted me to email her). Then he tore off the top part of the card with the little pictures and stuff. After this, he went and got a lighter and set the part with the actual writing on it on the flattop griddle--and yes, lit it on fire. It wouldn't burn that well so he spent some time making sure the thing was nothing but ash. I never got to read the card. He also took it upon himself to burn the envelope in which it came so I couldn't get her address (he apparently doesn't know that I already know her address). All the while he was talking about how crazy she is.
[This isn't the first time he's burnt things. I once wrote a 25-page long story (or, part of a story) and he ended up sticking it in the wood stove until it was nothing more than some ash. I still don't know why he did this.]
Again, this happened quite a while ago, but now I ask you, KidzSearch, to tell me who the crazy one is here: the one with conservative beliefs that tries very hard to get me, or my dad.
