I spent today mass-producing half a dozen identical Sasquatch necklaces for geocaching.

Yes, I just repeated the title. Wow.

Anyway, I went through several trials of shapes and colors and whatnot before I came to these and then tied double-knot adjustable knots onto the lace. Ask me anything.

Copper hand-stamped bigfoots (Quail Run Findings) and leather rounds with some really nice suede lace. Gonna stick them in some caches tomorrow; hopefully somebody will appreciate their find. Cool little leather things don’t always have to be stuff I spent 20+ hours working on, ay? Sometimes just a simple little thing is cool.

Once again, ask me anything.

I did Geocaching when I was little for cub scouts lol. Also, bigfoot is like the mascot of my state, I see stuff about it everywhere. The necklaces look cool. If you didn't spend 20+ hours, how long did it take?

Assuming you live in Washington State (I know you do), I do too.

And I do see Bigfoot stuff a lot.

…you guys do know that it’s very likely the bigfoots sightings in WA are from Mick Dodge, right? He dresses up as Bigfoot to scare people away.

I haven’t actually seen Bigfoot in real life. Maybe that’s because I don’t go in the woods a lot.

What’s geocaching?

geocaching.

It's sort of a sport a guess? Basically someone hides a container like a tupperware container or an ammo can with stuff in it with a logbook. Then they post the coordinates. People go to the coordinates and look for the container. It could be under a rock, in a hollow tree, etc. Once you find it, you trade something you have for something in the container (a lot of times it's little plastic trinkets and stuff) and write your name and the date in the logbook. It's just a fun activity. It started the day after the military gave civilians access to GPS in 2002 when a guy did exactly what I just described for the first time ever. Now there are geocaches all over the world.

Sounds pretty fun.

Yep I do them, do you know what a muggle is?
by (902k points)
Yeah. It’s someone who can’t do magic.
by (116k points)
lol, but is that a joke or what? I'm talking about a geocache muggle
by (902k points)
It’s the Harry Potter definition.
by (116k points)
ah, but whats a geocache muggle?
by (902k points)
I dunno. All I know is that I have a cold.
by (126k points)
Muggles are non-geocachers. Geocachers have to hide this stuff from muggles.

I thought Muggle was only a Harry Potter thing O_o
