Hi, welcome back!

Here are some of my favorite piano pieces (not including concertos or other accompanied works):

Fantaisie-impromptu (op. 66): Incredibly catchy but impossible to hum, this piece features a quick opening followed by a long, slow section (which I don't really like) at which point it returns to the speedy part.

Hungarian Rhapsody no. 2: A relatively famous Liszt piece characterized by a slow and heavy opening: Lassan, and beautifully contrasted by the second section: Friska, with a light mood. Also, there have been many cadenzas arranged for this piece to be played at the ending, some of the most notable of which are Hamelin's cadenza and Rachmaninoff's cadenza (both being excessively virtuosic), Hamelin has a recording on YouTube of him playing it (which I very recommend watching). This piece is so famous it has even been featured on the popular cartoon: Tom and Jerry.

Stanchinsky piano sonata in E-flat minor: a very unknown piece and a very unknown composer, this piece is long but captivating 'till the very end, it's utilities polyrythm to develop a very catchy melody.

Liszt 12 transcendental études: and extraordinarily long composition, I have 2 favorites in specific from the entirety of the 12; nos. 4 and 5. No. 4 is called Mazeppa and is meant to depict the story of the headless horseman characterized by chords arranged as to sound like a horse trotting, it is very flashy through and through. No. 5 has been proclaimed as the most difficult piano piece very composed (but that is up for debate) and is a lighthearted waltz of sorts that maintains a blistering pace throughout. There is a wonderful performance of these by Yumchan Lim on YouTube from the 2018 cliburn competition.

Rachmaninoff prelude in C-sharp minor: One of his most notable works, this piece has an emphasis on repetition and is very chordy, but evolves into a wonderfully virtuosic piece before calming down again.

That's all for right now, I probably forgot a few but that's okay.

Anyways, tell me your favorites out of these (assuming you listened to them), and tell me your favorites that I didn't feature on this short list (just make sure that the piece is solo and not composed in the late 1900's (post-modern era), so no pop or anything 21st century.).

Fur Elise and Moonlight Sonata. Call me a mainstream piano person, but those sound absolutely great to me. I even named one of my story characters in Everpane after his song a-=D

Okay, I'm not really surprised, those pieces are famous for a reason, they're just not my vibe, cool.
