Divide 22 by 7. It doesn't go in evenly so it'll make a decimal.
7√(pretend it's a division sign)22
7 goes into 2 zero times.
7 goes into 22 three times with a remainder of 1.
Add a decimal point to the end of 22, and make it 22.0.
Now add a zero to 1, the remainder from earlier.
You now have to add a decimal point to the 1 that goes into the 22, making it 1.(#) currently.
So far, we have 1.0 as the decimal.
You have to divide 10 by 7.
7 goes into 10 one time with a remainder of three.
Repeat the process from earlier, this time with these new numbers.
If you did it correctly, you would get 1.1 as the current decimal.
If you already know how to do the rest of this type of math on paper, you will be able to get 1.140000000 (zeroes repeating), if I did my mental calculations right.
This is if you don't have or can't use a calculator.
