I haven't done a post about music in like *ahem* since The fall of the Kalmar Union, so techincally 525 years ago.
Yesterday, I was making a drawing of 2 girls wearing the traditional dress of Småland, Sweden. Since Duvemåla, a town in Småland is the setting of The Emigrants (which has been destroyed in 2005 and rebuilt as a musuem for preservation reasons - which is weird since it is a litteral book. I understand The Emigrants having movies and TV shows since it is an extremely popular booj series, but imagine having to destroy your town)
I decided to listen to The Emigrants musical... But in English.
So I will talk about some goofy things.
FIRST OF ALL - THE NILSSON KIDS
so, The Nilsson kids (Karl and Kristina's kids, Anna (who died), Johan, Märta and Harald) are in both the Swedish and English versions of the songs. The song Hemma (Home) Basically has Märta and Kristina singing about Sweden. in A Bad Harvest Anna questions her death (And just saying, She was a 4 year old) which that aged very badly since Anna died 2 days later. And Präriens Drötting (Queen of the Prarie) has all the kids singing as they make a gift for Kristina.
Oh yeah and in the latter song, Harald sings. Now, In the time of that song, which is in the 3rd book, Harald is 5 months old YET HE CAN SING-. They littearly made him sing. and Johan is littearly sounds like Clemont from pokemon.
These 2 guys are the same.
2nd of all... The song "Wild Grass" (Vildgräs)

WHO LET HIM COOK.
So, Robert is Esie's crush Karl's brother. and he is the one who wanted to go to America. And the songwriters made not one, 2 songs of Robert convincing Kristina to go.
Karl agreed with robert but Kristina was like are you serious right now bro. but then Anna died and she was like "IM LEAVING-" This song is Robert's solo where he sings about... Grass. and Moose. And the Nilsson kids. In other words, Robert dosen't need an oscar he needs his brother.
oh yeah... something unrelated to The Emigrants, FROZEN IS SET AT THE TIME OF THE NORWAY-SWEDEN UNION. OUT OF ANY SCANDINAVIAN HISTORY ERA, YOU CHOSE SCANDINAVIA IN THE 19TH CENTURY . I actually died learning this since.... Well, Arrendelle seem great (probably because the government only supported cities)
