The day I was born was the happest day of my mother's life. Now I am a yearling. My mom said to me," Moon, my dear I will never leave you." Then it happened a pack of cougers came and killed my mother and other horses. She told me to run away, but I i didn't want to leave her. Then she told me that she needs me to run away, so i ran away, reluctantly. Now its been 1 year since she died, and I am now 1 years old. I am now old enough to take my mother's place of lead mare. Then the next morning I saw nobody was there. That's when it hit me.
