(Yes, I am starting a new story while having an unfinished story. I just randomly got this idea so I might finish it, I might not. We’ll see)
“We’re here! Welcome to Blue Hill Middle School!”
I can’t believe it: I’m going to middle school! It sounds so much fun, with several classes! And free seating for lunch! AND SPORTS! I absolutely can’t wait to go and see all my friends again!
And that’s where the fun ends.
I looked out the window and saw a long dirt trail. I was thinking that the bus driver was checking his phone or something, but instead, he said, “Get out. We’re walking on this mile-long trail to your school.”
A mile-long trail just to get to middle school? That’s INSANE. But if the fun lies a mile away, I’d walk the trail in an instant.
Oh yeah, I forgot to introduce myself, so I might as well do so while walking. I’m Teagan Lafayette, and I’m 11. I love school, and soccer. But what I love most is Minecraft. It’s just so fun, being plopped into a huge world and having to not die. I’m really good at it.
Minecraft was also really popular at my old school, Rock Bottom Tunnel Primary School. In fact, it was so popular that in 4th grade, me and my 3 best friends formed a Minecraft club. It even stuck around until the end of 5th grade.
And that’s when I moved cross-country away from Vermont and to Arizona.
We finally got to the middle school, and it wasn’t what I thought. It is huge, which is good, but it also looks run-down. They probably haven’t cleaned that school in years.
I at last decided to ask the bus driver why he was so bitter when he was telling us to get out. His response shocked me.
“My bitterness is nothin’ compared to the others. You’ll see.”
That meant that Blue Hill had really mean staff. Which wasn’t very exciting.
I finally stepped into the middle school, and the principal (who’s very tall) told me this,
“Come on, Teagan Lafayette. Let’s have a talk”.
And when adults call you by your full name and tell you to have a talk with them, that means something bad is coming. Really, really bad.
