Yee I had a whole JOURNEY of me getting into Scandinavia

2021 - age 10-11
January 2021 : what is a Scandinavia (I had no knowledge I just knew Norway)
June 2021 - had a Finnish-American Friend who occasionally played Finnish World War 2 songs during class in SPED summer camp and thought they sounded weird
November 2021 : 5th grade teacher made me read some random book on Sweden and I hated it
2022 (age 11-12)
March 2022 : started listening to Alan Walker because a friend thought it was good
June 2022 : liked more Scandinavian music and started learning about the Viking age on the textbook

July 2022 : started learning Norwegian
August 2022 : started middle school, got REALLY misinformed by a random Viking youtuber and had beef with a Norwegian-American teen girl

November 2022 : told my mom and dad about my interest with Nordic culture, I learnt about the rest of the Nordic countries and Sápmi, and was still very uneducated

2023 [Age 12-13]
January 2023 : got into Nordic Folk Music with the band SKÁLD and had an Iceland phade

March 2023 : bought a Norwegian flag and I was a Kalmar Union girlie. I also thought Denmark and Sweden were the same

May 2023 : had a horrible 17 Mai celebration at school and I got tired of the Viking Age. Also I started learning Northern Sámi and researching Nordic History

Started learning more about Nordic culture and started liking Sweden, Went to my first Scandinavian heritage center, got into the Viking Age again

Got Introduced to The Emigrants by Vilhelm Moberg (life changing mistake), Was pretty knowledgeable on Nordic Culture and believed in Sápmi Independence and lost interest in the Viking age

October 2023
Became a HUGE fan of Garmarna and Nordic folk music, Went to a Danish Museum and Got a Bunad as a gift and I spent at least 2 hours a day researching Nordic history and could easily spot misinformation

Got a lot of Nordic stuff for Christmas, and went to my 1st IKEA Got into Moomins and ranting a lot about Scandinavian things
My Norwegian was declining but my Sámi was becoming advanced
Also became an age of liberty girlie cuz I got into Scandinavian metal as well

January 2024
Started watching more Nordic culture content in Youtube and got bullied for a week for liking Nordic folk music at school :[

Trying to get my Norwegian motivation back, Now research with notes and I have 2 great friends that also love Nordic countries. Also made a lot of The Emigrants fanart lol
