Hadrian's Wall was a wall that ran coast to coast in northern England and built in 122AD. Emperor Hadrian ordered his soldiers to build a wall. But why? He ordered his men to build a wall to separate the Barbarians tribes(in Scotland ) from England, he also built the wall to make sure that only trusted people could come south of the wall.
