Just because you don’t believe in God (theres a difference between God and Allah) doesn’t mean you’re an atheist.

Using that logic would mean everyone that isn’t a Christian is an athiest

I usually say I'm a Buddhist, but due to reasons I won't disclose, I fall close to that religion, but it is not called Buddhism.

You don’t have to be an atheist to not believe in God or Allah! There are many ways to present religion that don’t involve a god :)
