KidzSearch has introduced a new section: Reviews, where we can review everything you could think of! Here is my first review, of the book Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon.

Everything, Everything by Niocola Yoon
My rating: 4 stars, YA Fiction
This book is vibrant, filled with emotions and drawings. Apparently, it is about Madeline Whittier, a girl with Severe Combined Immunodeficiency, or SCID. I would say it is creative, and funny in some parts, although some parts are as cheesy as you could imagine.
The drawings are pretty decent. It helps give away crucial information on the book. Yoon's husband draws the illustrations.
Now, down to the book, book. It starts off about how Maddy has probably read more books than you ever have. That was kinda annoying to me, because, well, I read 300-page books (like this one) in a day, at most.
You find out that Maddy has a nurse called Carla. Carla is nice, sweet, trusts Maddy, and all that. Maddy and her mother are close.
Later on, Maddy finds out her new neighbors have moved in. She falls in love with Olly, a gymnast-in-the-making. Olly and Maddy converse by writing stuff on the window with a washable marker until Olly provides Maddy with his email address.
Shortly, they begin IM-ing (Instant Messaging). Maddy begs Carla to let Olly come over. But since Maddy is locked in an locktight house with air cleaned out constantly, and is allgeric to everything, Olly coming poses a risk.
Carla agrees. Olly comes, and Maddy and Olly supposedly fall madly in love. Much more happens after this, and it is an OK book overall.
It has one adult scene, so have your parents read it first. I rate this 4 stars because of the cheesy moments and slightly confusing ending.

Did I like it or not: Like, but not enough to rate 5 stars.
