Hilbert's paradox of the Grand Hotel - Wikipedia

read if you want but the point is that infinity is not a number. Infinity is a concept for never-ending. Infinity + 1 is still infinity because there is an infinite amount of numbers out there and adding 1 to infinity will still result in the concept of infinity as well.

We are unable to apply the rules for normal algebraic operations such as any number/it self=1 as infinity isn't a number, it's a concept

Side note: Using infinity in operations is a pretty counter-intuitive thing, but it is commonly used for things such as limit, derivative, integral, infinite series, and other calculus and beyond subjects.

The answer is 1.

Now, it is easy to think that any number divided by itself equals one, which is true. BUT in Mathematics infinity divided by infinity is actually undefined.

∞/∞ = 1

Here we consider ∞ as a constant.

So, as we know some constant divided by the same constant gives one.

Hope it helps

But infinity isn't a constant. It is NOT a number. Its a concept and therefore it can't be considered a constant.

In google it says undifined

Fact: Every number divided will be divided itself.

Infinity is anonymous. There is no highest number, because we haven't found names for higher numbers, which, we never will. Even dividing infinity by 0 does not help.

So sorry if I hurt you, but any other number divided by itself is 1.

it is just a trick question.
1+1=2 not, 1
if infinity / infinity
it could be 1. but really its not just saying.

Infinity is infinite, or a really large number that is impossible to count to.

So, Infinity / Infinity would be infinity because infinity is infinite, so its forever counting, that is a trick question.

It's 1 because any number divided by itself is one.
