The title. I’m very in the middle of writing it…lol. Anywayssss here it isssssss….
Kinkajou traipsed through the forest, eager to see her friends. She knew she was close when she heard Moon chuckle, her tear-drop scales beside her eyes glittering in the soft sunlight. “That’s crazy, Qibli! Who would’ve thought?!” Qibli’s eyes shone as she laughed. Winter, beside them also smiled. His scales had gradually adjusted to the warmth of his scavenger sanctuary. Kinkajou stepped up behind them. “Hey, guys!”
“KINKAJOU!” Moon raced over and tackled the rainwing in a hug. Kinkajou’s scales turned bright pink and yellow as she squeezed back. “hi,” she grunted, as Qibli and ( surprisingly) Winter threw themselves in a group hug.
“Wait,” Qibli said. “Where’s Turtle?”
“Oh, he was trailing along behind me,” Kinkajou’s muffled voice came from inside the pile of dragons, and she giggled. “He was complaining about how much rain the rainforest got. If you live in a rainforest you’re gonna have to deal with rain.”
Footsteps sounded behind them, making the leaves crackle under the dragon’s weight. “I’m here, I’m here,” Turtle’s soft, calming voice appeared beside the group and he flung himself into them. Kinkajou felt a burst in her heart as she felt his talons bump against hers. Since suggesting they hang out more, they’d been spending more and more time together, and Kinkajou LOVED it. Even though she wasn’t completely sure if what she was feeling was the remains of the HORRIBLE, DISGUSTING, VERY RUDE THANK YOU VERY MUCH, spell that Turtle’s sister Anemone had cast on her, then removed because her heart changed towards him after understanding that Darkstalker was evil.
