What age do you think is reasonable for kids/teens to have a phone? (Question)

I personally think 14 is an ok age to have a phone. Now I do think that under 12 isn't an age where kids should have one. I am 11 and think this. (Though I do admit I would just love to have one ) 

My parents (specifically my mom) told me I can't have one until I am 16 and driving. Now I may try to get one a year early simply by telling my mom I will pay for it. (I will be a youtuber and I simply will most likely need my own phone)

But this isn't about me... Its about y'all telling me what age y'all think is good to have a phone!!!!! Answer today!!!!!

For real though, it doesn’t depend on age. It depends on the maturity of the child.

I got my first (and only, guys my iPod Touch isn’t a phone) phone when I turned 10. It’s been useful on several occasions, but for the most part, I really don’t see a need for it.

I think kids should be at least 12 before getting a phone, but I got mine at age 11 and a half so yeah.  : )

(Irl me here) I still don't have a phone. I hate parents, they keep talking about dumb responsibility. I'm in high school, I deserve one. My mom keeps talking *⚞/ᐠ｡ꞈ｡ᐟ\⚟* about how she doesn't reward bad kids or that I'm not responsible enough. If you ask me, I am. I know when I have work to do and I do it. And irl I'm 15 so bro.

im 13, and have a phone, but i paid for it myself when i was 11, it was an old one,

but, for my 13th birthday my mom bought me a new phone, so my old one went to my little sister (age, 11) so, idrk...
