For a long time I have watched cartoons, old and new, like Tom and Jerry (despite people today being ultra sensitive about the "violence"... my siblings and I love it and laugh whenever Tom fails and Jerry prevails), SpongeBob SquarePants (even though I'm 14, it's still fun to watch and find Easter eggs)…. cartoons like that, as well as old Mickey comics and cartoons. Some people may find Mickey's old style creepy, but I find it awesome and old-fashioned. So, I decided to create a few cartoon characters I can draw every once in a while (for like holidays, special occasions, etc) in the old Mickey style! If you remember my old character Goldicat, you'll know that I can draw cartoonish. But I had to alter my cartoon style a lot to draw my new characters.
So, the forerunner of all this is Kyandee/ Kandi (full name Kandice the Cat), a hyperactive and extremely happy-type cat character with positivity radiating off everything she says. She does have her bad days, but overall she's a bundle of sugar and sweetness. Your typical main cartoon character!
She's a cat, but she's altered from Disney-drawn cat styles. She has the typical black eyes of old Mickey, but her ears and a bit smaller and are more flexible. What's more, she has a longer and thicker tail, and her mouth is drawn a bit differently and her body is longer and thinner, but still cutish stout. I haven't settled on colors yet, but I may not have to, being that old Mickey Mouse was never really drawn in color, except in the comics and later cartoons. Because her name is Kyandee, I'll probably make her have a candy-like color scheme (pale baby blue/pink/etc. colors).
