Simple pro LGBTQ+ searches are BLOCKED. I am definitely Not supportive of the LGBTQ community, but I am not against it either. I still accept them as people and think they should not be attacked for this.

PS. No, I did not spell Bi sexual wrong. BieSexual is another term for the same thing.( https://www.google.com/search?q=biesexual&rlz=1C1CHBF_enUS868US868&oq=biesexual&aqs=chrome.0.69i59j69i60l3.2819j0j9&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8)

There May Be Even More Terms That I Have Not Discovered Too.

Instead of searching bisexual search for Gender nonconforming

bisexual means fancying both boys and girls, it’s nothing to do with gender.

We opened our search engine to allow these and other related terms. However, the type of allowed content is more restricted to keep things safe. If you see any other terms that you think should be allowed, or issues with the results, just let us know.  Suggestions for good online resources for these topics that are family-safe would be useful. We definitely support the LGBTQ+ community and the ability to get educational information about it.

In general I think a lot of parents that get this for it to have that blocked, since the reason they got it is so it won't have anything like that in it, for it to be filtered for their children. To me sexual identify is sexual identity, call me old fashioned but I think no good intentions would come with unfiltering that. If they wanted it, they would just use the "censored" internet. For the majority of parents, don't come for me, it's just what parents think.

While the terms are not blocked, the results returned get highly filtered for these senstiive words, so they are still safe in our opinion while providing valid educational content. If you see any results that you feel are not appropriate, just report them using the link provided under all our search results.

We were updating our search engine today which caused some of the whitelisted terms to be skipped (making the system "too strict"). These terms were already whitelisted and should now be working correctly. They are allowed and provide what we feel are safe results for them.

Yes, why were these blocked!?

It's a bit strange for an educational website for kids to block these terms. KidzSearch should've unlocked these earlier. KS does not offend the LGBTQ+ community in any way, does it? Definitely not. I'm not being offensive to KS and I'm not blaming them either. I'm just wondering why these search terms were blocked. Thanks to Kitten for pointing this out and also thanks to KS for unlocking these terms from now on.

One thing which I've noticed: KS blocks almost every search term which contains sex or sexual. So this could be the reason.

Why was that banned?!! I mean, it's like saying terms from the LGBTQ+ community are not suitable for kids!!!! I'm sorry kidzsearch, but this is just absurd. But, anyway, thank you for fixing it!

We block anything with the term "sexual" in it, but can whitelist things so they are not blocked. We just missed these less common LGBTQ+ terms. It was not intentional.

Kidzsearch, I am not trying to offend you in any way, I am just saying my opinion.

But it was strange that you did not unblock those terms years ago. For a company that is "Devoted to a child-safe internet", that is really kind of weird.

Yeah, it is just a little weird...

sorry if this hurts someone but I'm Agender and this is very offensive.Just because it involves the s words not mean it's inappropriate. Who ever made this application is extremely close minded

They have gay lesbian and bisexual, and for other sexualities, you could probably write "demi", "ace", "sapio" or "pan"
by (1.34m points)

yes, but ace and pan would not bring up good results

That's because they have different definitions. Ace in a deck and pan in your kitchen.

It's either because you actually did spell it wrong (it's bisexual not biesexual) or because they don't include searches with the word "sex" in it.

actually biesexual is another word for bisexual
