Oof, this sucks.

Question

I have mild ADHD. It’s not that bad that I have to take pills, which is totally ok with me. I don’t want medication, but I’m supposed to wait until I go back to school to make sure my attention deficiency doesn’t interfere too much. Uuuugh!

Oof. That's kinda bad, but a lot of people have ADHD. So you don't need to worry too much, it's okay!

My brother has ADHD. He has to take medication and sees a therapist. It's sometimes hard to deal with, but our family is used to it now. If you ever have any questions, feel free to ask us.

We’re not allowed to go to school anyway. Maybe by the time we go back to school it will be better.

Ik. I don’t go to school because of the virus, obviously. ADHD isn’t something that can be fixed. You do several things to help you focus, but it can’t be fixed. ( I think. I haven’t researched) Also, school is supposedly gonna make it worse.

I have ADHD and I used to take medication. Somewhere between 3rd and 5th grade my parents couldn't afford it anymore, and even though the only way I can focus is with music, I haven't gone back on it. The only thing different between having the medication and not having it is the fact I need music to completely focus on something and I forget stuff easily.

I forget stuff easily, too. Fidgets help me focus a little more, it’s hard not to move while I’m working.

Which test did you take? The one where you do like a computer thing to gauge your focus son, the one where they send papers to your parents and teachers, or just identified by talking with a therapist? Or something different?

PS- doesn’t homeschooling make everything so much easier? You can fidget, draw, or take little breaks to go outside as often as you want! Honestly, i feel like it’s gonna be awful going back to school now that I’m used to this.

I don’t have any fidgets, so I use squishies!

 

I named him Bob, lol! Yeah, my brain does feel like that sometimes, but most of the times, when I’m trying to focus, my brain will skip to other things, and then it’ll keep skipping to other thoughts until I realize I’m off track.
