Well, nobody alive today knows exactly, but we have lots of pictures and books. I'm sure things were a lot like today and people had the same concerns and problems. Life was probably more difficult, since they did not have all the modern conveniences we have today, like supermarkets and cars. Entertainment was probably limited too without TV or internet, but I bet people were still happy with what they had and made the best of it. People did not even have electricity, so they used candles to see at night. Most people raised their own food too, so lots of work just to eat. Disease was more of a problem since people did not understand sanitation, so they got sick often. If you needed an operation they did not even have anesthesia and would do surgery while you were still awake.
Things were probably very different based on the country. In Europe you had a lot of wars (Napoleon in France) happening. The U.S. was just getting settled after fighting the revolutionary war.
With all the bad stuff, they also had very close families and worked together. I bet people were much less lonely than they are today.
