"I gazed at the magic show with my mind racing. I wish I could be invisible for a day, i tbought dully as the magician waved his long black wand.
'I need a volunteer!' Shouted the magician joyfully.
I raised my hand high. " Me, me!" I yelped excitedly.
'Hm.' The magician tapped his chin, and then pointed to me with his wand. 'Let's take the young lady* down there!'
(*= or man/lad for a boy)
I smiled and walked up the stage's hard steps, where the magician directed me to a large wooden box. 'Go in there,' he whispered, turning back to his audience.
As I stepped into the upright wooden box, I knew what was going to happen. The door of the box was going to close, and then the floor underneath my feet was going to drop into a cellar, and there I would stay until the magician elevated the floor again, announced me OK, and let me leave.
Then the magician shut the door like I had predicted. But then, with a whooshing sound, a green mist sparkled over me.I gazed down at my feet- and saw they were gone!
'What!' I said in horror.
The door opened again.
'Now I will make her reappear! ' declared the magician, and the door swung shut again.
I waited, biting my lip, until the door was wrenched open by the magician. His eyes were wide as he stared, dumbfounded, at me. I was invisible- he couldn't see or hear me. I ducked beneath his arm, and charged into the crowd of onlookers. No one saw me pass, not even my parents.
I was invisible. And I didn't know if I would ever reappear again."
Hope that helps! You could even call this chapter "Be Careful What You Wish For"!
