“Wake up!” My husband yelled. He had been trying to wake up Leo for about 45 minutes now. To tell the truth, I was feeling a bit groggy myself. Luna, or should I say SACHI, woke me up at the crack of dawn for food. It was actually a surreal experience, having her. What were the chances? Right now sachi was gnawing on her bone, but every now and then, she would look up at me as if to say “look! Look! Aren’t I doing such a great job gnawing on this bone?” She was doing a good job! Finally, Leo, grouchy and tired with hair looking like hagrid’s, ambled into the kitchen. As he glanced down at sachi sadly he said, almost a whisper,”I remember when Gunnar was like this.” Tears welled up both me and Leo’s eyes. Knowing I had to change the conversation before things got any sadder, I said “want to come with me to bring her to the puppy school?” He didn’t respond, but there was a gleam of excitement in his eyes. I knew if Sara were here, she would reply by jumping up and down and screaming “yes! Yes! I can’t wait to see little sachi in action!” Even though she was 1 1/2 years older than Leo. “Ok.” He responded after a few moments. “Good girl! Good girl!” We were at PetSmart, and sachi was doing great at the new tricks. So far, she had mastered sit, stay, come, and roll over. “Allright, I think sachi has had enough learning for one day.” I said to Leo. He slowly nodded. “Yeah. Ok.” As we were walking out the door, someone stood to block me. I knew this person very well. And it wasn’t in a good way.
This is mostly based on true events, I hope you loved it, part 4 coming soon!
