9/11 was a serious event that happened on September 11, 2001. 20 years later, it is still a memory of many Americans.
In the morning, 4 airplanes traveling to California were hijacked.
The targets were the Twin Towers, the Pentagon, and the White House (or U.S. Capitol)
The first plane hit the North Tower at 8:46am. The next plane hit the South Tower at 9:03am. 1 hour and 42 minutes later, the Twin Towers collapsed.
At 9:37am, the third plane crashed into the west side of the Pentagon.
The last plane, at 10:03am, crashed into a field near Shanksville, Pennsylvania.
