Does anyone know when Minecraft 1.17 comes out for Bedrock/ Pocket Edition players?

It came out in summer. For Pocket Edition, reinstall the game.

To get the update on Windows 10/11, open the Microsoft Store, go to library and click get updates. Then update it if it appears.

1.18 has been released on 30th November 2021.

Use the same method to install.

I just did last month! I finally got the whole update- it's amazing, isn't it!?

I searched for a new cave right after installing it on my PC. 

I was mining a spiral staircase down when I then fell into one. Nearly died due to the FALL AND the baby zombie. 

Worth it though. Got at least 30 diamonds on a trip with my Fortune III diamond pickaxe.

 

Warning: The caves are easy to get lost in! Make sure you have equipment to make your way out!

They sure are easy to get lost in! I haven't really found a good way to keep track of the way I came. I place torches down, but eventually I go down so many paths and place torches all over :/

Items to bring:

• Crafting table
• A stack of sticks
• 1 or 2 stacks of cobblestone
• Iron/Diamond/Netherite pickaxe for mining diamonds (Best with Fortune III and Unbreaking III)
• Food
• A good sword, when you land you might have a baby zombie waiting for dinner.
• A water bucket, good for if you accidentally interrupt an enderman having a casual stroll.

Method:

Note down the coordinates of your base. This is important. Get down to a new cave and do all the mining you want. When you want to exit, start mining a straight staircase upwards with a stone pick, craft one on the table when needed and pick it up again. When you reach the top, head to your base and put the items away in a chest. If you interrupt an enderman in the cave, place down your water bucket where you are stood. This will keep the mob away. Trying not to exit the water, kill the enderman. Then pick up the water. Kill any monsters that come for you.
